New Product Line at Risk

BOM cost was 20% too high. CMC conducted in-depth investigation of each supplier, stratification of parts and suppliers for differential actions, price re-negotiation strategies, contingent second sources and migration plan for a Fortune 50 corporation.
 

Make-Or-Buy Analysis

A Fortune 500 company wanted to understand the financial impact of outsourcing their complex electro-mechanical equipment to a tier-1 EMS supplier. CMC’s work included in-depth survey of the client’s production sites in the US, Asia and Europe; then, multi-year cost modeling of best / worst case differences in product costs and cash flows. Final report (~160 pages) included sensitivity analysis and likely transition risks.

Finding the Right Contract Manufacturer

Requirements analysis, RFQ guidance, in-depth factory audits, financial analysis and other supplier risk assessment work to decide between two major Asian EMS providers for a leading storage products company.

Multi-year contract manufacturing agreement negotiated for favorable pricing, upside flexibility, product engineering support, excess inventory and counterfeit components risk mitigation, co-location of support personnel, etc. Analysis of IBM supplier contract requirements and implications (key customer).
