| DETAILS: | Before founding Contract Manufacturing Consultants in early 1999, Robert worked for Solectron Corporation, one of the world's largest electronic manufacturing services companies. As Director of Business Development for the Everett, WA site, he was responsible for helping potential new customers evaluate outsourcing pros and cons, negotiating manufacturing agreements and managing program managers responsible for assigned customer programs. Robert's earlier experience includes work as Director of Marketing for Asyst Technologies, a semiconductor capital equipment manufacturer, and as a general management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Stanford University. Robert is a frequent contributor to industry publications and conferences on topics pertaining to electronics outsourcing strategy, including make or buy decisions involving often competing outsourcing pros and cons, as well as successful partnering with EMS companies.
