DETAILS:Before founding Contract Manufacturing Consultants in early 1999, Robert worked for Solectron Corporation, one of the world's largest electronic manufacturing services companies. As Director of Business Development for the Everett, WA site, he was responsible for setting new business development strategies, negotiating long-term supply agreements and managing program managers responsible for the ramp-up and maintenance of assigned customer programs. Robert's earlier experience includes work as Director of Marketing and OEM relations for Asyst Technologies, a semiconductor capital equipment manufacturer, and as a general management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA from Stanford University. Robert is a frequent contributor to industry publications and conferences on topics pertaining to electronics outsourcing strategy trends and successful partnering with EMS companies.
